farmers urged to engage in smart agriculture-Masuwa

  The Ministry Of Agriculture in Kasempa District says there is need of farmers to adapt to new smart agriculture practices without pausing a danger to the environment.   Speaking in an interview with the KFM news today, Kasempa District Agricultural Coordinator joseph Masuwa said that in the past, Kasempa was the district whose farmers have been practicing shifting cultivation which was said to be a threat to the environment. Mr Masuwa says the Ministry of Agriculture working together with the conservation unity in line with the 7 th national development plan and the agriculture policy is encouraging farmers to ensure that they desist from engaging in practices such as the indiscriminate cutting down of trees. He adds Kasempa has seen an influx of people coming to the district and the acquisition of land has been on high demand. SMC ENERGISES ENTREPRENUERSHIP AMIDST THE PANDEMIC

  Solwezi Municipal Council has continued to coordinate training of community members (both men and women) in the district in various skills with a view of fostering self-reliance through creation of self-employment. the United States reaffirms its commitment in ending TB in Zambia.

 the United States has  reaffirmed its commitment to stand with the Zambian government  in the fight against infectious diseases such as TB, which is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality country-wide. By Anthony Tapa  And USAID Mission Director Sheryl Stumbras has revealed in a statement today that the U.S. government’s investments to combat TB in Zambia include training health care workers, improving infection control, purchasing TB drugs and other key commodities, strengthening lab systems, and community outreach.   Stumbras  believes that this  year has been particularly challenging for health care systems across the world, including Zambia.   Stumbras adds that working together with the Ministry of Health, the U.S. government is encouraged by Zambia’s continued progress in reducing illness and death due to TB, despite the challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic.  “Together, we identified and put 40,000 additional Zambians on TB treatment in the past year alone.

 ZESCO DISTANCES IT'S SELF FROM A JOB ADVERTISEMENT OF A STORES ASSISTANT. By Anthony Tapa 24th March 2021,  ZESCO Limited has distanced it's self from a job advertisement of a Stores Assistant circulating in some sections of the media. And  Utility company Public Relations Manager Hazel Zulu has warned the public  to be alert of a scam by unknown persons circulating fake employment advertisements on various online platforms purporting to be from ZESCO when in fact not.  Ms Zulu has revealed that ZESCO is dismayed by an advertisement for a Stores Assistant making rounds on some social media platforms posted yesterday 23rd March 2021.   She has stated that the said advert is fabricated and did not originate from ZESCO.  Ms Zulu says  ZESCO is an equal opportunity employer and any available employment opportunities are advertised through official channels such as the print media, the company’s official corporate website and official ZESCO Limited Facebook and LinkedIn pages. He was born on 4th April, 1977 at Lapaz a suburb of Accra-Ghana.  He is the fourth born of his parents, Madam Owusuwaa Vida and Mr. Gabriel Owusu Nti popularly known as Obofuor.
