Centre for trade policy and development under the economic governance and tax program has embarked on a resource utilization and mineral revenue sharing mechanism project aimed at tracking and monitoring mineral revenue in the areas where mining activities are taking place. In an interview with  CTPD information and communications officer Isaiah Mbewe said Zambia is blessed with a lot of minerals but there is no prudent management of the resources being collected from the minerals hence the need to train the community. Mr Mbewe said there is need for people to track and monitor how resources are being used by the local authorities that is why they have come up with a community mineral revenue tracking toolkit to help the community to easily track if the resources are being used for the intended purposes. Patriotic front in northwestern province says there is need for government to help youths to grow in the agriculture sector by providing them with enough land. Speaking after arrival from CUBA on Thursday northwestern province patriotic front vice youth chairperson Jackson Kungo said if only government drive the youths into agriculture only then they will become productive. He added that government should improve the tourism sector by putting up better infrastructure which will be able to attract investors there by creating employment for the people. Mr. Kungo also urged the provincial permanent secretary to be productive by making the patriotic front party on record that it is delivering development to the people adding that the youths will remain on the look out to see to it that their welfare is addressed.
