Patriotic Front Party Mobilisation Committee in North Western province has donated assorted items to solwezi Urban Clinic worthy K12,000 towards the fight against the deadly Corona virus in the district.
And Provincial Mobilisation Coordinator Enock Kapalu says the ruling PF in the province values the the strides government through the Ministry is making towards the fight against the pademic.
"As mobilisation team in the province, we also thought of extending a hand in a small way by making this contribution" Mr Kapalu said.
"We picked Urban clinic for a start and we will extend the gesture to other clinics in sumplimenting their efforts in the fight against the Corona virus" He said.
Mr Kapalu is hopeful that the donation of bukets, hygienix soap, Infra Red Themometer, jink among other items donated to clinic will help the clinic in it's quest to save the people in the district.
He has further encouraged the general public to adhere to the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health aimed at combating the spread of the deadly Corona virus in the country.
"Let's ensure that we report any suspected symptoms to the health personells and ensure that we qurratine ourselves at home" Mr Kapalu said.
And receiving the donation, Solwezi District Commissioner Rosemary Kamalonga commended the PF in North Western Province Mobilisation Committee for the gesture.
"We are humbled by your gesture as Solwezi District response and preparedness team" Kamalonga said.
"Corona virus has hit the world badly and Zambia is not exceptional.
Ms Kamalonga said Solwezi District may have not reported any case but I understand that they could be people in the district with relatives who are affected by Corona Virus.
"We are grateful for the gift and this will go a along way in helping us in our preparedness" She said.
And Solwezi District Health Director Dr Chipili Lengwe has assured the District Commissioner and the PF that the items donated to the health facility will be put to good use.
