UPND PUSHES FORWARD PROVINCIAL INTRA PARTY ELECTIONS FOR NORTH WESTERN PROVINCE.

The United Party for National Development (UPND) in North Western province says it has pushed the provincial convention which was supposed to be held over the weekend to a later date to accommodate representation in all the districts of the province.

North Western Province Commissioner General for the Intra Party Elections Munji Habeenzu has told Solwezi FCC radio news that it has been difficulty for the party to bring its members together following the outbreak of Covid 19.

He adds that as party they understand there is need of supporting interventions that have been put in place to fight the spread of Covid by the Ministry Of Health working together with its partners.

Mr Habeenzu has also revealed that candidates who have filed in their nominations   will be scrutinized to ensure that there is representation from all corners of the province without leaving anyone behind.

He adds that north western province is dynamic and the committee will ensure that all those who filed in nominations do not only come from one district or two districts only.

Mr Habeenzu has further urged those who filed in nominations to go frater out and campaign peacefully as they wait for the elections day to be announced.
