Son kills His biological father  over Chicken.

A 25 year old man of Cement area of Solwezi District has murdered his biological father for quesioning him for selling a chicken.

A 66 year old man , only identified as Able Sandang'ombe of Chief Kapijipanga of Solwezi District was murdered on  Monday, June 1, 2020 around 19:00hrs by his son Kelion Sandang'ombe aged 25 of the same area.

North Western Province Commissioner of Police Elias Chushi has revealed that Able pick up a quarrel with his biological son over a chicken which his son sold.

"Later, the son picked up a log , hit his father repeatedly on the head and caused him  to sustain fatal injuries" Mr Chushi said.

"The father later died and his body is laying in the mortuary at Solwezi General Hospital "He added.

Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police says the suspect has been arrested and will be charged for murder.

Subjects of Chief Matebo of the Kaonde speaking people of Kalumbila district have accused two traditional leaders for causing confusion in the matter of who should be the chief between Collece Mulemena and Evans Nyeleti. Speaking during a meeting called by the sitting Chief  of  the  Matebo chiefdom, the seventh Evans Nyeleti today at the palace, the subjects alleged that the said  two chiefs  are contributing to the continued  wrangles over the chieftainship  of the Matebo royal establishment. The subjects said the two chiefs are supporting Collece Mulemena who lost the case in the high Court through a judgment which was passed.
