North Western province provincial minister honourable Nathaniel Mubukwanu has commended the church for closly working with the government in the quest to improve the welfare  of the people across the country. Speaking through a speech read on his behalf by Solwezi district commissioner Ms Rosemary Kamalonga during a conference of Catholic bishops of Zambia at St Daniels today Hon Mubukwanu seized the opportunity to urge the church help to promote unity and love among the people in the country. Hon Mubukwanu said  the society today is polarized by politics and  tribalism,which causes serious threat to the one Zambia, one nation motto. He said as a nation, there is need of the country to depart from hate speech and live by the principal of love as taught by the Bible. Hon mubukwanu said government with support from the church can help the people of Zambia to establish common values and love for the country, which will inturn drive people to contribute towards a better nation. Anthony Tapa Solwezi, North western province  August 27, 2019 Northwestern province national Democratic Party chairperson Mark Kalemba says he is not surprised that the ruling patriotic front has de-registered the party through the registrar of societies. Mr Kalemba said they were pre-warned that government was scheming ways to have the NDC Party deregistered after attempts to use the court through its former secretary general Mwenya Musenge. ‘’now that the information has come that the government decided to go that way, we will wait  and follow the direction from Lusaka , where our party president  (Chishimba Kambwili )  has indicated that he will challenge the deregistration in the court of law’’ mr kalemba said. Patriotic Front Senior party member Martin Mbaya has commended the provincial administration under the leadership of NorthWestern Province Provincial minister Honourable  Nathaniel Mubukwanu , the permanent Secretary Mr Willies Mangimela together with the entire Committee for organizing the Expo Northwest Zambia 2019 aimed at unveiling the hidden treasures of the province. Mr Mbaya said North Westerners are yet to see fruits of the expo more especially on the memoradums of understanding which were signed during the on-going Exposition at Solwezi City Mall. He said the MOUs signed are a plus to the people in the province as they will not only bring employment to the local  people but also bring the much  desired development to the province. North Western Chamber of Commerce, Trade and Industry has welcomed the withdraw of the sales tax by the Minister of Finance Dr Bwalya Ngandu for further consultation. Chamber president Mukumbi Kafuta said that his institution has welcomed the bold decision taken by Minister of Finance Dr Ng'andu to extend the implementation of the sales tax bill to allow the considerations made by sta. Mr Kafuta says the reasons given for doing so are genuine considering the submissions that which the business community made during the consultations on the sales tax across the country. He said the submissions needs to be addressed sufficiently, hence the need of more time to be given by the minister. Chief Mumena of the Kaonde speaking people of kalumbila district has called on the Expo North West Zambia 2019 organizers to take advantage of the few remaining days to sensitize the local people on the importance of the business exposition slated for August 2019. Speaking in an interview with Solwezi FCC radio news Chief Mumena on Thursday last week  said that the delegates will only have access to the hidden treasures when they come through the cultural gate keepers. He says the reason why the expo has been brought is to benefit the local people of the land, adding that the province needs investments; however, the local people should have a share.
