Lightning Claims life of a Twenty Year Old Woman-leaving her two cousins in severe burns.

A Twenty-year-old woman of Ikeleng'i District has died after she and her children were struck by lightning.

 

Matilda Mulandu and her cousins only identified as   Esther Sakayombo aged 14 and Tinnah Matiya aged 3 were in the house when they were struck by lightning during a heavy downpour.

 

The incident occurred on 11 October 2020, around 16hrs at Ishiwi village in Chief Nyakaseya's Chiefdom of Ikeleng'i district-North Western Province.

 

And North Western Province Commissioner of Police Elias Chushi has revealed that Matilda Mulandu died on the spot whilst her two cousins sustained severe burns.

 

Mr. Chushi says the children have been admitted to Kaleni Mission Hospital for medical treatment.

 

He has however, revealed that they are out of danger and in stable condition.
