EMBRACE THE HOSTING OF THE EXPO ,NORTH WESTERNERS URGED

Chota foundation in conjunction with council of churches of Zambia and young Christian education club of Zambia has implored north westerners to fully participate in the coming expo north west Zambia 2019.

In a press statement availed to Solwezi FCC radio news today national media coordinator for Chota foundation Felix Chifunda Musemvu said as an organization, they  are in support of the hosting of the expo for it has  the  potential  to bring about opportunities that will change the livelihoods of  the  people in the province.

Mr Musemvu said the expo will create opportunities for the people in north western province more especially in the promotion of business linkages both at local and international community level.


He said there is need of people to stand up and embrace the process aimed at unveiling the hidden treasures the province is endowed with.

Adding that doing so will positively contribute to alleviating poverty in the province.

Mr Musemvu said his organization cherishes the bold decision taken by government to act decisively to award the province with the North West expo Zambia 2019 which he says was long overdue.


He said mineral rights and land tenure issues may not be reasons for rescheduling the hosting of the north western Zambia an expo 2019.

Mr Musemvu said his organization will support the provincial administration in the successful hosting of the expo and that they will not associate themselves with individuals, groups  and organizations  that have regressive ideas towards the hosting of the expo in the province.

Chief  Matebo of the Kaonde speaking people of Kalumbila District says the imaginary wrangles in his Chiefdom are not being perpetuated by subjects of the royal establishment but by outside forces. Subjects of Chief Matebo of the Kaonde speaking people of Kalumbila district have accused two traditional leaders for causing confusion in the matter of who should be the chief between Collece Mulemena and Evans Nyeleti. Speaking during a meeting called by the sitting Chief  of  the  Matebo chiefdom, the seventh Evans Nyeleti today at the palace, the subjects alleged that the said  two chiefs  are contributing to the continued  wrangles over the chieftainship  of the Matebo royal establishment. The subjects said the two chiefs are supporting Collece Mulemena who lost the case in the high Court through a judgment which was passed. Nyambi Harrison, who spoke on behalf of the other subjects, said he wonders why the two chiefs have concentrated on Chief Matebo's Chiefdom when they have their own Chiefdoms.
