Former member of Parliament for Zambezi East Hon Sarah Sayifwanda has been formaly arrested and charged for conduct likely to cause breach of the peace following her involvement in the trible violence that occurred In Zambezi on Saturday during the electoral Commission of Zambia delimitation process of getting submitions on the creation of new constituency.

North western province commissioner of police  Hudson Namachila  has confirmed the arrest and reviewed that Ms Sayifwanda has been grated police bod up to next week Thursday when she will appear in court.

He has added that the police will now wait in the national prosecution authority NPA, to go through the matter.

Mr Namachila says her arrest was delayed because as she demanded that  it should be done in the presence of lawyer and relation's.

He has further disclosed that police has recorded six cases of assault, one case of conduct likely to cause breach of the peace over which Sarah Sayifwanda has been charged, and one case of theft involving a phone and a few other cases of malicious damage of public property which have not yet been ascertained.

Mr Namachila says the police has sent a team in Zambezi to  investigate the cases and that police has continued monitoring the an easy peace in the area.
He has urged the lundas and luvales to stay at peace and cooperative with the police in their efforts to  bringing about peace in the the area.
Mr Namachila says government is not interested in the differences between the two ,for they are considered to be brothers.

And Chief Ishima Sankeni the six of the Lunda speaking people has dispelled rumours speculating on social media that the people of  Zambezi district are not in support of the hosting of the EXPO  northwest 2019  slated to take place between 18th to 24th August,2019.

The traditional leader has told a media briefing today in Solwezi that  the expo Northwest Zambia 2019  is welcome as it is one way of opening up the province to potential investors.

He condemned the flucus that occurred during the delimitation meeting that took place in Zambezi district over the weekend.

he has  further apologized to the Electoral Commission of Zambia for the embarrassment and inconvenience caused.

However, he says the creation of a new constituency in the area is welcome but how is will be created that's an issue.
